Spent yesterday out with about twenty other people wielding sketchbooks on Sheffield’s first ever sketchcrawl, organised by the amazing Lynne Chapman and Tim Rose.

I was slightly terrified at first as I haven’t really drawn in front of anyone for about ten years and we were clearly amongst some extremely gifted and accomplished artists, but luckily there were a few other people were in the same boat and the pressure soon lifted.

All brilliant fun and am looking forward to the next Global Sketchcrawl on 16th October! :D

  1. Yep, we met at 10, started sketching at 11 and kept moving round every hour . Last sketches were at 3-4pm, then an hour or so in the pub to look at each other’s sketches – really encouraging – loved it. Sketched in an A6 hardbacked sketchbook (daler-rowney) – was worried it’d be too small but it was actually really good for gaining confidence because I could hide it really easily, haha :D
